Properties of Firepanel A1 fibregypsum board

The natural raw materials of the Firepanel A1 fibregypsum board are mixed and pressed into stable boards under high pressure after the addition of water and without any other binding agents. After drying, the fire protection boards are surface-hydrophobized on both sides and cut to the required formats.

The water causes the gypsum to react by penetrating and coating the fibers. This gives the Firepanel A1 fibregypsum board its high stability and non-combustibility of the highest European building material class A1 in accordance with DIN EN 13501-1 and national DIN 4102-1.

Due to its material composition, fermacell® Firepanel A1 fibregypsum board is a fire protection, building and damp room board with homogeneous board properties on both sides. It offers all the familiar properties of fermacell® gypsum fiberboard in drywall construction - except that the fire protection properties for the building material and the component are even better.


Areas of application

• The fire protection board is also particularly economical, as only one type of board is required for use in finishing, fire protection and damp rooms

Processing

Firepanel A1 fibregypsum board is just as quick and easy to work with as the original gypsum fiberboard from fermacell®: thanks to their fiber-reinforced homogeneous structure, the fire protection boards are easy to work with. No special tools are required. They can be processed using conventional woodworking machines. Carbide-tipped tools should generally be used for cutting.
