Renovation into a Didactically Appealing Learning Landscape with fermacell® Therm25™

The Klaus Groth School in Tornesch is completely remodelling its old building into a modern and didactically appealing learning environment as part of a construction project to implement the fire protection regulations. Our fermacell® Therm25™ dry screed elements ensure warm feet and a pleasant indoor climate across 1,800 square metres.

During the renovation of the old building, the existing bonded screed was demolished and replaced with a new structure with underfloor heating. The total height is 8 cm, of which 10 mm is provided for the rubber and carpet floor covering. This left 70 mm for the screed structure. Load class C1 for school buildings must be taken into account.

The new screed structure with underfloor heating ensures even heat distribution and increases comfort. This renovation represents a sustainable and comfortable solution that fulfils the requirements of everyday school life exceptionally well.
