The complete dry screed ‑ The fermacell™ flooring system, comprimises of screed elements and compatible fillers or levelling compounds, it is suitable for almost all floor constructions: in residential construction for new builds or renovations on concrete or timber joist floors, in bathrooms or damp areas, and for floors with underfloor heating.
No additional moisture from construction work; ready for flooring after just one day.
Quick to lay, even if work is interrupted. Lightweight for easier installation.
Significantly lower thickness than with traditional wet screeds, less load on the subfloor, and connections to existing structural elements are easy to achieve.
fermacell® floor systems
Fibre gypsum flooring elements
fermacell® fibre gypsum flooring elements consist of two fibre gypsum boards of various thicknesses bonded together. They are available with or without various types of insulation laminate. Depending on the insulation material, they provide effective thermal, airborne and impact sound insulation. They can also help to improve fire safety.
Therm25™
Therm25™ Underfloor heating elements consist of 25 mm thick gypsum fibreboards, the upper surface of which is milled using a special system. As they are up to 40% thinner than wet systems, their light weight makes them suitable for installation on wooden joist floors. Therm25™ can be used in all applications and combine a load-distribution layer with underfloor heating in a 100% dry system.
Levelling
Levelling fill or bound fill can be used to level out unevenness and create a level surface for all dry subfloor systems and conventional screeds. The fermacell® thermal insulation fill is used to provide seamless thermal insulation for dry cavities. To improve sound insulation, the special fermacell® honeycomb fill can be used in conjunction with screed elements laid on top.
