Ideal for quick and safe installation

fermacell® Powerpanel TE flooring elements consist of two cement-bound lightweight concrete slabs with integrated glass fibre reinforcement in a sandwich construction. The 50 mm wide circumferential tongue-and-groove joint and the customisable format (500 x 1250 mm) enable quick and precise installation. With a low installation height of just 25 mm and a low weight per unit area, slim structures can be created without placing additional structural loads on the building, taking up very little extra headroom.

Suitable for all water exposure classes

fermacell® Powerpanel TE flooring elements is the first choice for use in wet rooms subject to constant and high levels of moisture. In accordance with DIN 18534, it can be used to create floors for all relevant indoor water exposure classes:

W0-I (low) Areas with low water exposure
W1-I (moderate) Areas with moderate water exposure and no significant waterlogging
W2-I (high) Areas subject to high levels of water exposure, e.g. public showers
W3-I (very high) Areas subject to very high levels of water exposure

W3-I (very high) Areas subject to very high levels of water exposure

For this purpose, fermacell^® Powerpanel TE flooring elements are vapour-permeable (water vapour transmission resistance factor of µ= 56) and resistant to mould growth.

Fire safety

In addition to being suitable for wet areas, fermacell^® Powerpanel TE flooring elements meet the highest standards of structural fire protection. They are non-combustible (building material class A1) and achieve fire resistance class F30 even when installed as a single layer. Depending on the construction, fire protection requirements up to F120 are met.

Soundproofing

fermacell^® Powerpanel TE flooring elements excel in sound insulation and are characterised above all by their high bulk density. When installed as part of a properly constructed floor system, they deliver excellent sound insulation performance.

Processing

The elements are laid in a staggered pattern on a load-bearing, dry and level substrate. They are bonded at the tongue-and-groove joints and additionally fixed with screws or clips. Any unevenness can be levelled out beforehand using levelling compound or self-levelling screed. Full loading and the installation of the final floor covering are possible after just 24 hours under normal ambient conditions – as with the classic fermacell® fibre gypsum flooring elements.

Flooring

Once the screed has set, the floor can bear a full load and can be fitted with almost any suitable floor covering, such as tiles, porcelain stoneware, PVC or linoleum.
